Small Talk

SK plops down beside me on the couch. He crosses his legs, clasps his hands, and cheerily asks me, "So, what's your favorite book?"

He has become quite the conversationalist.

Other small talk of late includes, "It's a nice day," and "So, what's your favorite movie?" We've had some nice visits start out this way.

When he's finished with a phone conversation, he says, "Well, I have to let you go. Bye." And yet, said conversation is only over when he deems it so, and it has become increasingly difficult to pry the phone from his hands. He reminds us more than a little bit of a cousin from Colorado (Hi A!) who used to do the same thing when she was his age.
